STORY
In 2021, PROMASTER launched three new Eco-Drive Diver 200m models. Their design is inspired by the 1982 Professional Diver, a Citizen Watch that boasted the highest depth rating in the world at the time of its release, with water resistance to 1,300 metres. The 1982 Professional Diver is the starting point of ‘Go Deeper,’ the philosophy that every PROMASTER dive watch made since then embodies for adventurers worldwide.
Environmental problems have recently started to affect the deep sea. Living creatures in the ocean’s depths are being impacted by climate change, while plastic rubbish has been detected in sea trenches over 10,000 metres deep.
The theme of the 2021 Save the BEYOND campaign is VOICE OF THE DEEP. The campaign explores the beauty and ecological importance of the deep sea, based on interviews with Ben Reymenants, a record-setting deep diver, and Schannel van Dijken, a marine biologist grappling with deep sea-related environmental problems.

A portion of the sales revenue from these special models will go to supporting the marine conservation activities of Conservation International, an international NGO dedicated to spotlighting and securing the critical benefits that nature provides to humanity.
